Sabrina Rising

Sabrina Rising, age 67, joined the angels on March 15th, 2024, in Lower Cape Fear LifeCare after an 8-month long battle with pancreatic cancer. She was born in Robeson County on June 27th, 1956, to her late parents Louise Davis (nee, Bass) and Rupert Davis. She was a loving mother, wife, and friend who enjoyed cooking and baking, crocheting, and going to the beach. Sabrina was a hard worker who gave her absolute best no matter what the task at hand was. As someone with two green thumbs, she had an affinity for flowers, plants, and gardening. She adored her two children and stood by them without hesitation or judgment, regardless of the circumstance.

Both her mental and physical strength were extraordinary, and this was proven by her courage in the face of such a painful, terrifying disease. She refused to give up and did everything she could to better her condition, her faith in Jesus and the support of those around her giving her the hope to fight on. To those that love and care about her, there was no doubt in their minds that heaven was her final destination. There, she will be held in the arms of God and be more alive than ever before, free of pain, fear, and worry for eternity. Sabrina is survived by her husband of 51 years, Nicky Rising of the home; her son Jason Rising of Whiteville; and her daughter Kayla Rising, also of the home.

In lieu of a funeral service, Sabrina requested for her family to celebrate her life with a small memorial service at one of her favorite places: the ocean shore.
